Yr6 – 14.1.22

As of 8.15am this morning we have five cases of Covid in Year 6 now having been notified; this is a trend not currently seen in our other classes, where cases remain low or non-existent.

In order to create a “circuit break” for both Year 6 and to safeguard the rest of our school community we have now put in emergency procedures for today, Friday 14th January.  These will be:

  • Parents may keep their Yr6 child at home if they are concerned about their attendance today. Children must complete the learning posted at http://high-firs.kent.sch.uk/absencelearning/ and return this to Miss Allin.
  • Children who are in school will be kept separate from the rest of the school and will have their own schedule today – a return to “bubbles”.

No action is currently required for other classes as there are no current concerns.

Our apologies for the very short notice but as you will appreciate this is an evolving situation and we have taken swift action in order to endeavour to limit the impact of this.

We will update you on any further action needed for Monday 17th as soon as we can.
